Nephrology

The department is led by a team of nephrology consultants and certified nurses and offers clinical consultation and management of kidney diseases, urinary disorders, renal complications of diabetes, and kidney stones. A medical team of practicing nephrologists works closely with other specialists such as endocrinologists to provide effective, comprehensive care. Furthermore, the IMC’s dialysis center is designed to promote comfort among patients by placing the nurses’ station at the center of the treatment area and giving each patient privacy and personal space. This design along with the strict policy of assigning one patient to each nurse play a pivotal role in creating the right environment for effective treatment.

Our Services:

• Prevention: preventing kidney disease through continuous education and preemptive prevention protocols for preventable cases of Acute Kidney Injury in both inpatients and outpatients.

• Education: provide proper education for patients and their families, physician, nurses, and other healthcare staff. We are working diligently to increase the awareness about the prevention and management of kidney disease.

• Inpatient consultation: We provide a multidisciplinary approach for inpatients with renal disorders in order to ensure high levels of communication with primary team and all concerned parties.

• Outpatient clinic: We provide a state of the art consultant-based service with maximum patient satisfaction.

• Renal Biopsy service: An outstanding pathology service, which ensures accurate diagnosis to guide management.

• Dialysis service: A chronic renal dialysis unit with the highest quality and standards ensuring safe and effective hemodialysis with minimal complication. Inpatient Acute Dialysis Room is designated to emergency and inpatient dialysis.

• Home Dialysis Program: A safe and comfortable service for selected patients.

• Follow up renal transplant patients.

• Renal Stone clinic in collaboration with Urology service.
